The 6th International Conference on Creative Multimedia (ICCM 2026) will be hosted by the Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM) and the Faculty of Cinematic Arts (FCA) at Multimedia University.
The primary aim is to amplify the voice of sustainable creativity through the integration of AI and creative multimedia technology. Authors are strongly encouraged to feature their creative concepts, prototypes, proofs-of-concept, and detailed innovation case studies relevant to the conference themes or tracks. This event is targeted at researchers, academicians, industry participants, undergraduates, and postgraduate students seeking fresh insights and new research ideas within the creative and multimedia industries. Registration Cancellations and Refunds
Terms and Conditions on Registration Cancellation and Refunds
Exceptional Circumstances: Refund requests will only be considered under exceptional circumstances. Examples include:
- Medical emergencies (supported by a medical certificate)
- Family bereavement
- Other significant unforeseen events
Documentation Requirements: To facilitate the review process, all refund requests must be accompanied by appropriate supporting documentation. Examples include:
- A medical certificate from a licensed healthcare provider
- Official documentation of a significant event (e.g., obituary, police report)
Submission Process: To request a refund, please follow these steps:
- Prepare a detailed explanation of the reason for your refund request.
- Gather all relevant supporting documentation.
- Email your request and documentation to difcon@mmu.edu.my with the subject line "DIFCON 2026 Refund Request – [Your Name]".
Review and Decision: Upon receipt of your refund request, the DIFCON committee will:
- Acknowledge receipt of your request within 5 business days.
- Review the request and supporting documentation.
- Notify you of the decision via email within 15 business days from the date of acknowledgement.
Important Notes:
- Non-Refundable Items: Registration fees may include non-refundable items such as administrative fees or bank charges.
- Final Decision: The decision to approve or deny a refund request rests solely with the DIFCON committee and is final.
- Timeline for Approved Refunds: If your refund request is approved, the refund will be processed within 30 business days from the date of approval. The refund will be issued to the original method of payment used during registration.
- Refund Request Deadline: Refund requests must be submitted no later than 7 days before the event date. Requests submitted after this deadline may not be considered, except in cases of serious medical emergencies supported by documentation.
- Refund Amount: Approved refunds may be full or partial, depending on the circumstances and any costs already incurred by the organisers.
- Administrative and Bank Charges: Registration fees may include non-refundable administrative fees, processing fees, or bank charges, which may be deducted from any approved refund.
- No-Show Policy: Participants who fail to attend the conference without prior notification will not be eligible for any refund.
- Force Majeure: In the event that DIFCON 2026 must be postponed or cancelled due to circumstances beyond the organisers’ control (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions, or public health emergencies), the organisers reserve the right to modify the event format or reschedule. Refund policies will be communicated accordingly.
