Prof. Ir. Dr. Hin-Yong Wong received his tertiary education in the United Kingdom, culminating in a PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. As one of MMU’s pioneering academic leaders, he became its youngest lecturer at age 22 and has since risen to the rank of Professor and Director of the Research Institute for Digital Enterprise.
He has led over 120 staff members and 15 academic programmes as Dean of Engineering, supervised more than 30 postgraduate researchers, and published over 100 international research articles. Prof. Wong has secured RM4.9 million in research grants and continues to bridge academia and industry through innovation and applied learning.
