Prime Minister of Bangladesh. a politician from Bangladesh who has held the position of Prime Minister of Bangladesh since January 2009. Hasina is the daughter of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the country's first president and founding father. [2] In the past, she held the position of prime minister from June 1996 until July 2001. She has served as prime minister for more than 18 years, making her the longest-serving leader in Bangladesh's history. She is now serving as the longest-standing elected female head of state in the world as of July 16, 2022. [3] [4] [5]
Bangladesh's democracy has regressed while she has served as prime minister.
